Using Nitido
What is Nitido?
Lightweight invoicing for independent professionals. Clients, invoices, recurring retainers, templates, time tracking, and a public pay link.
PDF with your logo, light AI helpers for wording and notes, and a client list.
Are my invoices valid for tax in my country?
You issue the invoices you create in Nitido. You are responsible for the invoicing and tax rules that apply to your activity.
Nitido is not a government-certified invoicing system. It is not available if you are established in Spain as an invoice issuer, or for issuing invoices subject to Spanish tax rules (Verifactu). Where your country requires a certified or government invoicing system, you cannot use Nitido for that. You confirm you will not use Nitido for those purposes.
Nitido does not provide tax or legal advice.
What do the AI helpers do?
On an invoice you can use Improve wording to clarify the description.
On a client you can use Summarize notes to shorten long private notes.
Both are optional: nothing is saved until you click Save, and you can edit the text first.
Suggestions are generated by xAI.
Where do I put my business logo?
Account → Business → Logo on invoices. It appears on invoice PDFs and on the public invoice page.
Can I try Nitido without signing up?
Yes. Use Try the live demo on the homepage.
You enter a demo account — no password. You can try adding a client and an invoice, including the AI helpers; changes are not saved.
For your own data, start a free trial.
How do I share an invoice with a client?
Open the invoice and use the public link. Clients can view it, leave a note, download their invoices as PDFs, and pay — no Nitido account.
Can I send the same invoice every month?
Yes. Invoices → Recurring, or Repeat monthly on an invoice.
Nitido creates the next one on the date you set. Pause or change the amount anytime.
Can I reuse the same invoice wording?
Yes. Invoices → Templates, or Save as template on an invoice.
Next time, pick the template on a new invoice and change only what is new.
Can an invoice have more than one line?
Yes. On the invoice, use Add line for each description and amount. Tax is still one rate for the whole invoice.
Can I track time and invoice it?
Yes. Invoices → Time. Log hours against a client, then create a draft invoice from unbilled entries.
Can clients pay my invoices by card?
Yes. Connect Stripe under Account → Client payments, mark the invoice as sent, and share the public link.
Your client pays by card on that page. Payouts go to the Stripe account you connect.
Do clients get an email when an invoice is overdue?
Yes. Nitido emails the client a pay link once when a sent invoice is past due.
Turn it off under Account → Notifications.
Why does the PDF say SENT and not Overdue?
The public invoice page shows Overdue when a sent invoice is past its due date.
The PDF still shows the stored status (for example sent) plus the due date.
Where do bank details and thank-you text go?
Account → Preferences → Invoice PDF (closing message, payment details, Nitido credit line).
Will I get an email when a client pays or leaves a note?
Yes, if those options are on under Account → Notifications (on by default).
Nitido emails you. Overdue pay-link emails go to the client.
Can I export my data?
Yes — Account → Export & backup. Download a ZIP, and restore the same file later on this account.
Languages?
English and Spanish now. French, German, Italian, Russian, and Portuguese coming soon.
Account and security
How do I change my password?
Account → Password.
Two-factor authentication?
Account → Security. Optional app codes (for example Proton Authenticator).
